Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Summary: Unza is an iPhone alarm app that keeps ringing until you complete a fitness, faith, or quiz mission. We built it to work on your device — not in the cloud. You do not need an account, and we do not collect, sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Who we are
Unza (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the developer of the Unza alarm app and this website at unza.app. If you have privacy questions, contact us at support@unza.app.
What we do not collect
Unza is designed so we do not receive your personal data. We do not:
- Require you to create an account or sign in
- Collect your name, email, phone number, or address through the app
- Upload camera images, workout footage, or Bible scans to our servers
- Store photos or videos from your workouts or faith scans
- Use analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking SDKs
- Sell or share your data with data brokers or marketers
- Build a profile of you for advertising purposes
What stays on your iPhone
To make Unza work, information is saved locally on your device only, such as:
- Alarms you create (time, repeat schedule, mode, and settings)
- App preferences (appearance, language, default sounds, and exercise settings)
- Fitness trial and subscription status cached from Apple
- Faith reading plan progress and streak information
This data remains on your phone unless you delete the app or reset your device. We do not operate a backend database that stores your alarm or mission history.
Camera, notifications, and on-device processing
Unza asks for permission to use certain iPhone features:
- Camera — used during fitness missions (pushups, squats, wall sits) and faith missions (Bible chapter scan). Camera frames are analyzed on your device to count reps or read chapter headings. Quiz missions do not use the camera. Frames are processed in memory and are not saved to your photo library and are not sent to us.
- Notifications — used so alarms can ring and open Unza when it is time to complete your mission.
Pose detection and optical character recognition (OCR) run on-device whenever possible. We do not operate a cloud vision service for your workouts or Bible scans.
Subscriptions and payments
Fitness Pro is an optional subscription billed through Apple’s App Store. It unlocks fitness and quiz alarm modes after your free trial. Apple processes payment and manages your subscription. We do not receive or store your credit card, debit card, or bank details. Apple may provide us with subscription status information (such as whether a subscription is active) so we can unlock Pro features in the app.
Apple’s handling of payment data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Support emails
If you email support@unza.app, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond. We use that information only to provide support and do not sell it.
Children’s privacy
Unza is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users and the European Union
Unza is operated from the United States and is available in the European Union through the Apple App Store. Because we do not collect personal data through the app, we do not transfer your app usage data to our servers. If you contact us by email, your message is handled like any other support request.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law. Because Unza does not collect personal data through the app itself, many data-subject requests (such as access or deletion of data we hold about you) will not apply to in-app usage. You may still contact us at support@unza.app with privacy questions.
European consumer rights
If you purchase Fitness Pro in the EU or other regions with consumer protection laws, you may have statutory rights regarding digital purchases, including rights relating to cancellation and refunds that cannot be waived by these policies.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, not by us directly. Refund and cancellation requests are generally handled through Apple’s App Store processes.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID → Subscriptions settings. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- For billing disputes, contact Apple Support or request a refund through Apple’s standard channels. We do not process payment card data and cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits your mandatory consumer rights under applicable EU or local law. See also our Terms of Service.
Health and fitness
Unza is an alarm app with optional fitness missions. It is not a medical device, healthcare service, fitness coach, or therapeutic treatment. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or rehabilitation programs.
- Do not use Unza as a substitute for professional medical or fitness guidance.
- Consult a physician before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you have health conditions, injuries, or concerns.
- Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. You use fitness missions at your own risk.
We do not market Unza as a medical, therapeutic, or clinical product. See our Terms of Service for the full health disclaimer.
Faith and Bible content
Faith mode offers a structured Bible reading plan and uses on-device camera scanning to verify chapter headings. This content is provided for personal devotional use only.
- Unza does not endorse a particular denomination or church.
- Unza does not provide theological, pastoral, spiritual counseling, or religious instruction.
- Bible reading assignments and scan verification are tools to help you complete a morning alarm mission — not authoritative religious guidance.
Security
Because your alarm and mission data stays on your device, you control its security through your iPhone settings (passcode, Face ID, device encryption, and backups). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.
How to delete your data
Delete the Unza app from your iPhone to remove locally stored alarms, preferences, and progress. Subscription management is handled in your Apple ID settings.
Accessibility and the European Accessibility Act
We aim to make Unza accessible where feasible. Unza supports iOS accessibility features including VoiceOver and Dynamic Type in settings, navigation, and alarm management. Under the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and similar laws, digital services should be accessible to persons with disabilities where reasonably possible.
- Fitness mode requires camera access and the ability to perform physical movements such as pushups, squats, or wall sits. Because missions rely on camera-based pose detection, this mode may not be suitable for all mobility or vision levels. We document these limits honestly in the app and in our Terms of Service.
- Faith mode uses on-device camera scanning to verify Bible chapter headings and may be more accessible for users who can read and scan printed text, though it still requires camera use.
- Alarms use sound and vibration. Users who are Deaf or hard of hearing may rely on device vibration where supported by iOS.
We continue to improve accessibility where we can. Share feedback at support@unza.app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Unza after changes means you accept the updated policy.
